Our part: Search and suggested placement, Shorts cut-downs, and a steady creator schedule across the months after release.

Official video on YouTube. Gur Sidhu & Jordan Sandhu.

Context

Banda Bamb is the third track on FYI (For Your Information), a five-track EP released on 27 May 2025 through Warner Music India. Jordan Sandhu sings it, Kaptaan wrote it, and Gur Sidhu made the music.

Challenge

A release that needed to keep climbing after the launch-week spike.

Plan

An EP track gets one big week and then competes with everything released after it. The plan was built for the months, not the week: titles and descriptions written for how people actually search for the song, Shorts cut from the official audio and then from the video, and creators scheduled steadily rather than all at once, so YouTube kept seeing new people arrive.

Phases

  1. 27 May 2025

    The EP releases

FYI goes out to the stores with Banda Bamb as track three.

  2. 30 May 2025

    Official audio on YouTube

The audio goes up first, so search has something to find while the video is finished.

  3. 26 July 2025

    The official video

The video arrives two months later, to an audience that already knows the song.

  4. The months after

    Keep it climbing

Shorts cut-downs, search and suggested placement, and a steady creator schedule.

Outcome

The official video passed 100 million views on YouTube; on 24 October 2026 it stood at 12,28,28,769, with another 1,61,15,021 on the official audio.

What we learned

Two months between the audio and the video felt long at the time. It meant the video opened to people who already knew the hook, which is the easiest audience YouTube will ever give you.
